Our Guiding Vision & Mission
Sustainability at CESN spreads further than simply delivering clean power – our work follows the guiding vision of Cummins: to make people's lives better. We aim to do this through both our commercial offering; a clean and cost effective power solution, as well as through our charitable work in Nigeria. CESN supports five NGOs across Nigeria – who all do great work supporting the less privileged, schools, orphanages and community health centres.
Cummins also supports the governments Local Content Plan, employing and training local employees across the country in regions around our gas generator installations. The Every Employee Every Community (EEEC) campaign was established in 2014 to enable employees to give back to the communities by volunteering on Company time and engage in community service work.
We have an active Sustainability Committee that meets quarterly to review progress, allocate funds, work towards maximum social impact and get employees engaged and volunteering in the activities that we support.
Cummins recognises that as a corporate leader comes a responsibility to help improve the communities in which we all work and live. Employee training and skill improvement is core to our work.
We believe sustainable thinking is not just good business ethics but also commercially sound as we invest for the long term – clean engines produce a better living environment, strict environmental emission standards drive innovation and high efficiency generators, and engaged employees strive to continually improve our services and savings to customers.
